A few of my favorite things continued...

I have always like design and the arts and now I can see it being more applied in my home. I love to waste sometimes too much time on home decor blogs...and Stephen can tell that when I want to go get some design books from the library he knows I am in the mood to decorate. Well, now I am trying not to spend as much money on this but still change things and improve my home. Here are a few of my idears and what I would like to do someday.

Monogrammed Towels
I think that they are cute in this photo and maybe have to sweet talk a certain someone into doing this :)

Color
I love to see how different colors are coordinated and how they compliment each other. I guess that is the artist in me. Here are a few rooms that I would like to mimic in some of my designs.
Below you will find pictures from apartmenttherapy.com.

Mood Boards

The last one above is a mood board from a blog called www.younghouselove.com...which I have incorporated this color pattern through my living room now. We went thrift shopping a few weeks ago and picked up an aqua lamp and some ten dollar curtains and it feels more like our style now. Recently I picked up a couple of shower curtains and now I am turning them into some curtains for our dining room windows. I will post the finished look soon.

These are a few of my favorite things...

I stumbled upon this website that has great date ideas and all sorts of fun stuff: www.thedatingdivas.com. I was surpised at how great the ideas are and have decided to make a date night book for Stephen and I that we will have one quality date a month. I found that we were falling into the same old routine, dinner and a movie. I could tell we were both getting bored with that so I felt the need to spice things up. I will write late more of the dates that I decided to do every month! Don't want to spoil the surprise for hubby!

Another thing I like is www.wordle.com, you can make word art (subway art) for just about anything, and the real kicker is that it is FREE! I turned one into text for Stephen's Birthday, and he likes it!

And of course, my wonderful husband!
