A funeral and a Christmas Party

Today, I went to see an old friend and coworker from Farmer's Insurance. Virginia Ballinger, she was always friendly and I know her by being loving and helpful to all of our pets that we had. She once helped to clip my parakeet's beak. She also helped us with a crisis of one of our new puppies. Virginia was driving over that same evening to pick up our chihuahua puppy, little girl (later to be named Ella). While we were getting the puppy ready, she got a hold of a piece of adult dog food and began to choke. We heard her cough and she began to be limp and her lip and tongue turned blue/purple. All in all it was a very scary moment. Colene, my sister, began to try to help her by scraping out what was in her mouth. Then after she did that, she was still limp and blue faced. Virginia then pulled up in the driveway and we ran out to her with the puppy and gave her to her to see what we could do next...she was able to revive her. And turned out to be a very cute puppy.
It is interesting how you remember someone for something that they did really great once they have passed on. Some people at her funeral were sad and some were happy, happy to remember the best of her.

Later, this day Stephen and I went to the annual Persons' Christmas party at Brian and Nancy's house. It was lots of fun we did a gift exchange game, had Chinese food, and I gave the Moravian star ornaments to the families. I enjoyed being around Stephen's family tonight. Also, the cute gifts we got...a candle holder that looks like a jingle bell, glow stick bracelets, and M&Ms. Will be posting pictures of them :) I am tired and will now go get ready for bed.
