Migraines, Parking Spaces, and Fortune Cookies

Last night it started, through a wonderfully stressful situation. In my A.S.U. program for becoming an Elementary teacher I have the privileged to work with a partner on a mini-teach lesson in whom I don't see eye to eye with. Then, I got home about had a mental break down over the frustration with this person, and went to go pour myself a bowl of cereal and the blue china bowl decided to leap off the counter and come crashing down upon my foot. This was funny at that point I had the box of cereal in my hands and I threw it up in frustration and limped out of the room. Stephen was in the living room as I was in the kitchen. I stormed into the bathroom and began to cry, when I came out Stephen had already vacuumed up all the Cheerios except for a few, which he told me "I never knew cheerios could go that far." Cheerios are still under our couch and chair in the living room today. Bless his heart, while I was in the bathroom he was frantically vacuuming before I came out and saw what he had done I started to laugh and then cry. Then, we went out later to go grab a bite to eat and when we came back someone had taken our covered parking space.

A little background information: the apartments that we are in were re-paving the parking lot and had everyone move to one side of the complex. So, this created an interesting situation for finding a space to park. Luckily, when we returned to the apartment after dropping of Stephen's van over at his parents so that I could park in the one single space, we found that the covered space of our's all of a suddenly appeared vacant. Stephen then took my car and put it in the covered space. This all took an hour to do, plus having to put up with people in these apartments wanting to run me over and steal the one space that Stephen gave up for me, they swooped in like vultures. Pretty lame to think that people are willing to hurt others for a parking space. I cried for about two hours and fell asleep at around 1 am.

In short, tonight Stephen went out to get Chinese and the restaurant gave us three fortune cookies and two of them were the same, to which I got. They both read: "Any troubles you may have will pass very shortly." I pretty much busted out laughing when I saw this. So, this hopefully will be true, this too shall pass.

Let's pray that no one will kill me again for a parking space.
